With the city of Anchorage completely covered in snow after two lackluster snow events in October, many roads are still left unplowed and citizens are demanding answers.

"WE LIVE IN A WINTER CITY!" shrieked Judith King, a south side resident on Friday. "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE GROCERY STORE??" she continued.

We spoke with Maeve Stonson, founder of Take Back Anchorage over the phone about

mounting frustrations from Anchorage residents from lack of snow plowing. "Well, it aint good," she said. "ASD has already been forced to close down for one day already and our children are suffering the most."

Stonson said she was organizing a recall to get the Mayor removed from office for failing to execute on her most basic duty to the city.

A recall petition only needs 32,000 signatures to go before the Assembly for a vote. PP will continue monitoring this story and providing updates as it unfolds.
